Amazon Shopping Tips – There have been a few posts now on my blog where I expressed my joy about purchasing on Amazon. My family happily sold our souls to Amazon Prime a long time ago for free two-day shipping and catalog shopping for anything our little hearts desire. As a natural result, I started shopping for clothes there to see what kind of deals I could find. And note that there is a huge selection of everything you can think of, from basic necessities to expensive pieces.
I was initially hesitant to shop on Amazon for clothes (it can be weird sizing, lots of little known brands, huge numbers of results….) but shopping on Amazon can be FUN!!!! Here’s how to make the most of it:

There are literally hundreds of thousands of clothing items on Amazon – it’s easy to get lost and waste your time clicking through pages upon pages of stuff. I usually start by searching for specific items – for example, “floral maxi skirt”:

On the left you can see all the options to optimize it further, as well as some featured picks and brands at the top. From here, I always like to improve the results a little more…because…
8,460 results is a long time to go by, so I like to narrow it down a bit more. You can narrow it down by price range, brands, star rating, and many other ways. I usually skim through the first few pages to check out anything that looks promising. Even if I don’t like the color or style on the search page, a lot of the items have other color options so it doesn’t hurt to check them out! In the result above, the bottom left black skirt is the one I have in pink and blue 🙂

When purchasing on Amazon, I find it really helpful to read reviews to see what size and if the product is high quality. It’s especially helpful when people include their measurements and/or a photo of themselves wearing the item to know which size I should get. In general, I don’t like to buy anything from an unknown brand without any reviews…let someone else know if this is a real product, I’m not wasting my time there haha
Amazon Fashion Pro Shopping Tips
454 reviews and an average rating of 4.4/5 – that’s what we like to see. Obviously you can take a risk on lower rated items or things with lower overall ratings, but I feel more comfortable with things that have clearly been a hit with a lot of people!
However (and this is a big one) – make sure you actually read the reviews. Sometimes, Amazon reviewers tend to leave a low rating because of personal preference or something, for example, if someone buys something but doesn’t like the look of the color on it. This is clearly not a fault with this product, but people are quick to judge it. It’s also important to remember that not everyone who buys an item leaves a review, so there may be a lot of other buyers who liked it who didn’t review it. Read reviews with a grain of salt – don’t write them off completely, but don’t rely on them 100% either.
Obviously this is only if you have Amazon Prime (which you should) (I promise this post is not affiliated with Amazon, I just love Prime) but I always only shop for Prime eligible items. This means that Amazon is directly involved in the selling process, so better service and support will be provided for the items in question. Amazon Prime already offers free returns on most items, but it’s nice to have peace of mind and know they have your back if the seller is suspicious.
You can also easily see in search or on the product page if an item is Prime eligible – it will be listed at the end of the name or after the price on the same page:
Amazon Shopping Tips To Get What You Want And Still Save Money
It’s easier to shop for only key items. This way, I know that if I run into any issues, I can get support from Amazon. I can usually get the item within 2 days with free shipping, which is great for an impatient person like me.
That’s all I have in terms of Amazon shopping tips, but I wanted to show you some things I’ve successfully purchased from there in the past! I’ve been lucky to not have had any serious errors in my shopping experience…I love almost everything I got 🙂

Amazon Warehouse is part of Amazon. They resell millions of new, opened, and pre-owned items returned by customers at a discounted price. Each item is rated as “New,” “Near New,” “Very Good,” “Good,” or “Fair.” Very good items, although in perfect working order, may be missing minor accessories, show cosmetic damage, show obvious signs of use or have new packaging. Items with the most damage get a rating of “Good” and so on.
You’ve probably purchased 50 items from Amazon Warehouse. From towel racks to children’s colored pencils, candlesticks, stroller accessories and even light bulbs. I usually only buy “like new” or “very good” items and you still have Amazon’s 30 day return policy if you’re not satisfied. Always make sure the product is shipped by Amazon. Click it to see if there are any items in Amazon Warehouse. This is one of my best tricks and a great way to save a little when you can.
