Google Pixel 7 Pro Could Be Just As Hard To Fix As 6 Pro, According To Device Teardown

At ifixit.com/google you can see the components available across the phone, with even the original Pixel and Nexus listed. You can buy the Pixel 6 Pro rear camera for $169.99 with an “Original Part” label on the listing. For $7 you can get a “Repair Kit” with the necessary tools:

Pixel 6 Pro Screen Adhesive, iOpener, iFixit Opening Tool (Set of 6), Spudger, iFixit Opening Tool, Suction Handle, Angled Tweezers, Blunt Tweezers, Alcohol Pad, Precision Drill Driver, Master Drill 4 mm body (Phillips #00, Torx T3 , Torx T5)

There are similar kits for the 6 Pro’s display ($199.99) and battery ($49.99). This site links to step-by-step repair instructions with high-resolution images created by iFixit. They are similar to their split counterparts but are optimized for a specific section. The Pixel 6 Pro now includes a battery, earpiece speaker, fingerprint reader, front camera, rear camera, and screen replacement.

Since we’ve been working with the Google Pixel team, they’ve made some significant progress on repairability. Google has made more modular components and made an effort to prioritize battery and screen repairs. Since the Pixel 3, which scored a 4/10 on our repairability scale, no Pixel has scored lower than a respectable 6/10. More information about Google Pixel:
